Today was a day for spectacular clouds in the Chesapeake region. The sunrise included beautiful light. The rest of the day included several contrasts over the blink of an eye.
I took advantage of the more temperate day to do what I always urge others to do: act on those priorities that I say matter but I sometimes don’t manage to align with my time.
I ventured to meet my great niece before she graduates from college. She is bored with us here but quite a stunning personality already.
I also caught up with her older brother who educated me on the types of public service trucks and farm implements in his collection. He also serenaded us on his ukulele.
Racing home I stood by to support my husband as he reentered the same revisions for a manuscript that he has sent in multiple times. It is a great read so I hope the publisher incorporates these little nit noys once and for all. Somewhere in there I squeezed in a chat with my son about revisions he is working on as well.
Finally, between reading chapters, I saw the beauty of the late afternoon light to complement the morning glory.
Pretty satisfying and incredibly gratitude-inducing day. Isn’t this what life should be about?FIN
Yes, Liam is almost three and Lucy was born this autumn. Scott and his lovely wife made an unexpected visit to coincide with mine.
Doing some high-level analytical thinking here...if those are your great-niece and great-nephew, then they are Scott's grandchildren? How lovely :-)
