If true, it would not be the sole brush with the law for a president, sitting or former. Richard Nixon finally resigned on 9 August 1974 after it became clear his lied to coverup a third rate break-in at the Democratic Party headquarters two years earlier. Bill Clinton obsfucated an illicit relationship with an intern a couple of years older
