Lessons
Fragility and resilience
Actions create consequences every bloody day.
I had two lifelong lessons reinforced yesterday afternoon.
First, the world is full of good people who go out of their way to help others without expecting a transactional benefit.
Second, the amazingly flexible human body responds to force by breaking—literally—some times. Treated with some care, it will heal.
To avoid mystery, I broke the two bones in my lower arm badly avoiding another car on a narrow road but no one else was hurt, thankfully.
The sum of these reminders is that I can only type briefer pieces for the next couple of weeks as my body heals from a less than perfect afternoon.
I apologize in advance.
Be well and please be safe. FIN

I hope you have an easy recovery from this!
Oh, no, Cynthia! I'm so sorry this happened. I hope you're being well looked after and that the rest of your trip is much less eventful. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
