I just erased an entire column I had for today on routine versus variety. You would have thought I had lost my mind so deleted she is.
Instead, I note today’s sunrise over the Chesapeake was invisible this morning—until the reflections and clouds emerged as spectacular. People wonder why I arise so early when I know the sun rises in the east each morning. I am so lucky to get to see days like this one so it’s worth it, even if a wee bit (or bloody as it is for the next four weeks or so) early.
The sun is joyfully rising before 0500 these days but that will culminate (sob) on the 21st when we reach the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere. Today it took until almost 0600 to get some fascinating shots but that was cloud intervention rather than a sun acting out of sorts. I hope you enjoy at least one.
Some things are under our control while others, such as the sunrises or the clouds, are simply occur. The sun provides that glorious start to every single day, even when clouds shroud the view. This daily event merely reinforces that all sorts of actions do create consequences, proving us so much.
Thanks for being with me today and every day you read ACC. I don’t pretend to be profound nor do I assume I come near to having the answers. But I welcome your thoughts, your photographs, your corrections, and especially your time. Thank you to those who subscribe financially, in particular.
Be well and be safe. FIN
