We greet each other, as ‘believers’ or as friends, with certain phrases all through our lives. Do we think much about how they matter or whether they mean what we imply by saying them?
It would be a good—no, a GREAT day—to see the Christmas phrase ‘peace on earth and goodwill…’ to begin to become a condition rather than a wished for abstraction.
That peace begins and ends with people. It is neither magical in origin or somebody else’s job.
WE are the people who make or break it. There aren’t others out there paid to do it for us.
How do we each play a role? Seriously.
So, I wish you Peace on earth and goodwill to all women and men.
Your thoughts remain most welcome. Thank you for taking your valued holiday time to read this column. I am so appreciative of each of you.
Be well and be safe. FIN
