I am so excited to invite you to our next Timely Topics for Concerned Citizens webinar. Because of the dual speakers so rarely available at the same time, we will offer our Timely Topic webinar from 5 pm though 6.30 pm Eastern on Monday, 19 June.
Roy Kamphausen is the President of the National Bureau of Asian Research, a think tank situated bicoastally. Roy served as an Army attache in Beijing during the EP-3 incident, assisting BG Gratton ‘Neal’ Sealock’s negotiations with the People’s Liberation Army to free the Americans on Hainan. Roy also served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense upon his return to the United States. He is a graduate of Wheaton College in Illinois and Columbia University.
Arminda Kamphausen is the Director for Global and Sustainability Issues in the Business School at the University of Connecticut. Also a graduate of Wheaton College, Arminda played a pivotal role as a spouse during Roy’s tour as an Army attache. Her role was indicative of the importance we place on families serving abroad unlike so many other nations.I will forward a more formal biography in the next couple of days.
I hope you can join us for this truly fascinating discussion. Invite your friends interested in U.S. representation overseas, the intelligence community, China, the Office of Secretary of Defense, and how think tanks now operate in the post-COVID relationships with China and Asian states.
