Yes, Waffle House is a good brand, and waffles are great. We had them for dinner the other night. Staff attitude is important. I notice when we go to lunch at the local Outback every month or so. Our server, usually the same woman, makes us feel welcome. I seem to recall a term from our time in England, about a place “enjoying our custom.”
Great post! And even though I spent considerable years in the East and South... I've never eaten at a Waffle House. I just pulled up Google maps to see if by some chance, we might have one out our way and I just never noticed it. Unfortunately, closest one to us is in Denver... about 14 hours away. So here in the Boise, Idaho area I found: "Waffle Me Up", "Waffle Love" and a place called "Boba & Waffles" And now doing research, I learned "Boba" (also known as "bubble tea") originated in Taiwan in the 80s and found its way to the US in the 90s. It's described as: "a drink with chewy tapioca pearls or other toppings usually made from tea, milk, or fruit." I do love waffles. And that drink sounds interesting. So, I think since we don't have a WH near us... I'm going to give Boba & Waffles a try.
Yep yep yep yep!
Good enough!! Go for it. Let me know.
